TAYLER'S TUTORING
WHO IS TAY?
Rogue medical student. I loved the books but hated the politics of medicine. I have always loved school and learning, so you can imagine my excitement upon realizing that I can make a living as a lifelong learner. I began tutoring during my freshman year of college helping classmates, sorority sisters, and greek members in science-based courses. I quickly became the academic chair of my sorority conducting study groups, library study sessions, grade checks, and more. This was followed by University Tutoring, teaching assistant jobs, and tutoring for Chegg and other online tutoring services. After medical school, I began to substitute teach for grades K-12 at private and public institutions. This led to private tutoring online and in person with students of all ages and backgrounds, to include those with learning disabilities, dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADD, ADHD, anxiety, and helping individuals whose first language is not English. Through this work, I realized how much I enjoyed one-on-one student interactions and helping students reach their academic goals.
I love building relationships with my students and watching their struggles disappear as they begin to understand, learn, and grow. I remember every academic influence in my life and how important they were to me and my future. That's what I hope to be for others. I love to see the joy a student has after that "ah ha" moment when everything starts to click. It is the most rewarding experience and the reason I began this journey.
The pandemic affected education and the one on one experience that I can now provide. Due to the staffing concerns of many schools, quality teaching has been replaced by substitute teachers and teachers who lost the capacity to teach. College is just as worse except you’re the one paying for a mediocre self-taught education. Students are the future and deserve to have someone help them fill in the gaps. I can provide quality tutoring and educational guidance that might be missed in you or your student's educaiton.

My MOA...
Method of Action
During the free consultation prior to scheduling, I ask students to provide course info, syllabus, professor, textbook, old exams (great for learning how professors test), reviews, lectures, and essentially anything that will aid success. I intend to make the most out of each session, not make you feel like you need several to do it.
I provide custom individual personalized tutoring. This means that I spend a significant amount of time prepping for each of my students. This is where I have found my success. I create quality notes, study aides, diagrams, question sets, practice exams, and more all tailored specifically to the student’s needs and course. Each professor is unique in the way they test, this is why I ask my students for so much information. I’ve taken thousands of exams throughout my undergraduate and medical school career, becoming skilled at study techniques, and tricks, and depicting important topics and areas most likely tested. Additionally, over the past decade of my educational career, I've collected many resources and have spent thousands of hours creating notes and resources for myself and my classmates. It’s these resources, materials, and individual prep work for each student that makes me stand apart from the rest. I want my students to do more than just pass. I want them to get grades that will help their future endeavors.
